2007 Dog of the Year Rounds
At training on the last Monday of each month WAAG will run a Dog of the Year round. This is an internal competition to help members experience running full courses. It will commence at 7:30pm after the Foundation classes. Whilst each round will contribute to an overall WAAG Dog of the Year in each height category, the idea behind the rounds is for members to learn about running courses or fix competition problems they may be encountering.

The cost to enter our Dog Of The Year competition is $7 per person. This entitles the handler entry into the competition, one sausage (in bread), a drink, and a free doggie treat/biscuit for your dog.

There will be two standards, Starters and Open.

The Starters is designed for our novice dogs who are not competing or have not yet titled at competitions. It will consist of jumping and agility rounds.

The Open is designed for all others and will include 3 agility rounds, 3 jumping rounds, 1 gamblers round, 1 snooker round and 1 other game.

Rules
Normal ADAA rules will apply with the following exceptions:
- In Starters rewards may be used on course but a 1 point deduction will be made to their points earned in that round.
- In Open rewards may be used but if used will mean only 1 point will be earned for that round.
- Members may elect which height they would like their dog/s to run at, but should endeavour to jump that height category for the entire year.

Points Tally
Points will be tallied across the year and the best 8 scores will contribute toward the dog's final totals for the award of WAAG Dog of the Year.

Points will be allocated per round in the following manner:
