How to read a trial report

Hopefully this page will help newcomers to ADAA agility understand what all of the trial results actually mean.
For example - IMDAT - 1st Place - Rohan & Clover Q
The first letter represents the level the dog is competing in:
E = Elementary (beginners)
S = Starters (still beginners but a little harder)
I = Intermediate (some tricky spots on the course)
O = Open (some trickier challenges again)
A = Advanced (the hardest level)

Where there is an R in front of it that means that the dog is in regular class and jumps a lower height. eg RIMDAT is Regular Intermediate Class.

The next two letters are the dogs height:
MX - Maxi - Large Height
MD - Midi - Medium Height
MN - Mini - Small Height
TY - Toy - Very small Height

The next 2 letters are for the event:
AT - Agility Test
JT - Jumping Test
IS - Individual Snooker
IG - Individual Gamblers
IO - Individual Other (A game invented by the judge)

PS -
Pairs Strategic
PO - Pairs Other (A pairs game invented by the judge)
TO - Teams Other (A team game invented by the judge)

Then the dogs place is listed
(1st, 2nd or 3rd)
Then the handler and dogs name is listed

Then you will see either a Q or and NQ listed after the dogs name.
Q - means that the dog and handler completed the course perfectly and within the allocated course time (which earns them a qualifying card) and
NQ - means that they still finished in the top three but did not gain a qualifying card.

Therefore IMDAT - 1st Place - Rohan & Clover Q - means that Rohan and Clover entered Intermediate Midi height Agility and they came first in their class with a qualifying score - YAY!
