The WAAG Canine Disc Club is a group of disc dog fanatics who get together regularly to have fun and to promote canine disc as a great way to keep our dogs happy and healthy.  Our activities include informal play days where members get to exchange training tips and ideas, demonstrations for schools and community events and also competitions for members and visitors of all levels from beginners to the more experienced competitors.

Play Days

Next training day will be the 1st of June.

Price: $5.00 per class (not per dog)

Start Time: 6:30 pm

Location: James Overall Park (Southport Park) Brighton Pde, Southport.

What to Bring: A chair, water, treats for your dog, plastic bag for when "nature calls", compeition standard Frisbee's (these can be purchased at the club), towels and some drinking water.  Please bring your dog along on a lead with a Flat Collar only.  No correction chains are allowed.

Dogs must be crated or on a lead when they are not chasing down discs.  This is for the safety of all dogs.

A group email will be sent out in case of rain delay or cancellation of play days.

 

Membership Benefits

Membership is $40.00 per family per annum. (Frisbee and Agility)

(First time members receive 1 competition standard frisbee valued at $10.00)

 

As a WAAG Canine Disc Club Member you will get the following:

* Yearly membership to WAAG Agility Dog Club

* Inclusion in the WAAG Group Email List.

* Opportunity to take road trips to different Exhibitions and Competitions.

* Tips on Frisbee techniques from instructors and other members.

* To be part of a fun sport and a great group of people.

 

Ground Rules

  • All dogs to be on leash or crated at all times unless approved by an instructor
  • Harsh handling will NOT be tolerated. This includes verbal and physical abuse
  • All faeces ANYWHERE on the grounds must be removed by the handler and placed in the bin
  • Handlers are responsible for their own dog(s) AT ALL TIMES
  • Handlers are to accept complete responsibility for any damage done to any person, dog or property, by their dog(s)
  • We reserve the right to refuse membership to an aggressive dog and restricted breed
  • Children under 10 years of age are NOT permitted in training area whilst classes are being conducted, and must be supervised at all time
